Grindwell Norton Ltd. (GNO) came into being when a technical collaboration in 1967 between Grindwell and the then world leader in abrasives – Norton Company, USA, grew into a financial collaboration in 1971. In 1990, Saint-Gobain acquired Norton Company, USA, worldwide, and six years later, GNO became the first majority-owned subsidiary of Saint-Gobain in India. It has six manufacturing sites (Mora near Mumbai, Nagpur, Bangalore, Tirupati, Himachal Pradesh and Halol near Vadodara). The company manufactures Abrasives, High Performance Plastics, Performance Ceramics & Refractories, Silicon Carbide, Technical Fabrics, Glass Fibre Reinforcement Grid, offers a wide range of Project Engineering Services to Saint-Gobain companies in India and Internationally and houses the Group’s IT Development Centre (INDEC).
NG Geotextiles Solutions(with majority stake owned by SGIPL ) is located in Dhansura, Gujarat, and is involved in the manufacturing of geotextile grids
POSITION SUMMARY
- Reliability Maintenance (Exposure to Plant maintenance, CBM,TBM,PM and Spare part management)
- 5S,IMS
- EHS and WCM
- Improvement Projects or New Line Installations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and Plan Maintenance Schedules, Improvement Measures, etc
- Develop knowledge of maintenance of special purpose machines like Complete GEOGRID line, Drainage Line , Extruder, Grinder, LAMINATION, STRETCHING etc.
- Develop & improve maintenance systems
- Ensure the implementation of Preventive, Predictive and Corrective Maintenance
- Perform breakdown analysis & implement corrective action.
- Implement and improve safety features of all equipment meet EHs requirement.
- Ensure proper spare-part mapping, planning and maintenance.
- Practice and implement Reliability-based maintenance practices and continuous improvement processes (Kaizen)
- Review daily job priorities for maintenance
- Coordinate with Production team to improve uptime
- Permit management
SKILLS
- Knowledge of ISO, OSHAS, legal requirements related to maintenance
- Technical knowledge of Extruder ,Hydraulic systems, Stretching Systems, Lamination Systems, HVAC Utilities, Grinding machine etc.
- Basics of Electrical Maintenance & PLC logics and control circuits, VFDs, VCB/ACB/Relays etc.
- Reliability maintenance
Qualifications
- Diploma/BE/B.Tech in Mechanical
- 10-15 years of Experience
- Strong critical thinking and organizational skills
- Ability to identify and solve inefficiencies in processes
- Willingness to take initiatives
- Multitasking
