Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Manager M&A Tax role based in Gurgaon. The Manager will lead and manage tax advisory engagements related to mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and other corporate transactions, including tax due diligence and structuring. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing tax implications of proposed transactions, reviewing financial and legal documentation, and preparing high-quality reports, memoranda, and presentations for clients. The role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, liaising with clients and external advisors, and ensuring timely, compliant, and commercially sound tax solutions. The Manager will supervise and mentor team members, support business development initiatives, contribute to thought leadership in M&A tax, and help maintain strong client relationships.
Qualifications
- Strong technical skills in tax planning and tax compliance, with the ability to interpret and apply tax regulations in M&A contexts.
- Experience in tax preparation and practical application of tax law to corporate transactions and restructuring scenarios.
- In-depth understanding of direct tax, corporate tax, and transaction-related tax issues, including cross-border tax considerations.
- Qualified CA
- Relevant experience (typically 4–5 years) in M&A tax, corporate tax advisory, or transaction tax within a professional services firm or corporate environment.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in using MS Excel and other analytical tools for tax modeling and impact assessment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex tax concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple engagements, lead teams, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively with cross-functional colleagues.
- High ethical standards, client-centric mindset, and a proactive approach to learning and staying updated on evolving tax laws and regulations.
