Job Title: Manager - Learning, Training & Development

Location: Chennai Head Office (with travel to store clusters across India)

Direct Reports: Training Coordinators / Field Trainers (as team scales)
Job Purpose:
To reduce store staff attrition and improve the skill and competency level of all frontline employees (CSE, SM, AM) across 800+ Go Colors EBO stores, thereby increasing their productivity, customer experience delivery, and store sales performance. The Training Manager is primary capability-building engine — responsible for converting the retail attrition challenge into a structured onboarding and development advantage, and for ensuring that every store team is trained, motivated, and incentive-aware from Day 1 on the floor.
Qualifications & Experience:
(1) Essential:
- Post-Graduate in HR, Education, Business Administration or a related field
- An Overall Experience of 14 Years, 5–8 years of experience in L&D / Training, preferably in retail, FMCG or consumer brands
- Demonstrated experience in onboarding programme design and early retention improvement
- Hands-on experience in facilitating training for frontline / store-level employees
- Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel); comfort with WhatsApp-based learning tools
(2) Preferred:
- Experience in a multi-location retail environment with 500+ frontline employees
- Familiarity with incentive programme training (scorecards, leaderboards, sales contests)
- Knowledge of Kirkpatrick Model, Adult Learning Principles, 70:20:10 framework
- Exposure to LMS platforms (Docebo, Degreed or equivalent)
- Fluency in Tamil and Hindi — essential for field training across South and North zones
