Job Description: Manager – IIT Solutions, DDEX Architecture & Privacy Compliance Company: PPL - Music Licensing, Distribution & Royalty Management

About the Role -
This is a hybrid, high-impact role that blends software engineering, data compliance, vendor management, and business acumen. You will lead custom technology solutions for automated royalty calculations, manage third-party software delivery, and ensure large consumer and artist data structures are secure and compliant with data privacy laws.
Key Responsibilities-
1. Data Governance & DPDP Compliance Architect systems to comply with the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act Audit databases containing artist contracts, bank details, and listener data Establish user consent flows, data minimization, and automated data erasure logsAct as technical POC for data protection impact assessments
2. Engineering & System Architecture Write, review, and optimize Python/SQL scripts for complex royalty processing Build and maintain APIs integrating with streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music Design logic to automate DRM and catalog distributions Maintain documentation for data pipelines and cloud infrastructure
3. Vendor & Project Management Source and vet global vendors for music tech/Fintech solutions Author technical RFPs for ERPs, matching engines, and reporting dashboards Audit vendor code quality, security, and integration before onboarding Map business requirements into developer roadmaps and drive on-time royalty distribution Debug processing anomalies across ingestion, distribution engines, and banks
What We Are Building
You will own 2 key platforms currently under development: Content Ingestion & Royalty Engine Remove duplication in existing and new contentMonitor ingestion and reconciliation of radio logs / DDEX usage reportsEnsure accuracy of sound recording matching against PPL catalogue
Oversee royalty calculation, distribution, audit trails, and dispute resolution
PPL’s Licensing on D2C Platforms
Must-Have Skills
Education: B.E. / B.Tech / MCA in Computer Science or related field
Tech: High proficiency in Python, Advanced SQL
Cloud: Hands-on with AWS and Microsoft AzureDomain:
Experience with large datasets and DDEX structures
Compliance: CIPP/Asia certification or proven DPDP/GDPR implementation experience
