Job Description – HR Business Partner (International Business)
Objective / Purpose of the Role
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) is a strategic partner to business leaders, enabling business growth through effective people strategies. The role drives talent, performance, organisational effectiveness, employee experience, and compliance across assigned markets while ensuring alignment between business priorities and HR initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with business leaders to understand commercial priorities and translate them into people strategies that drive business performance and organisational effectiveness.
- Act as a trusted advisor to leaders on talent management, organisational design, workforce planning, succession planning, employee relations, and change management.
- Drive the end-to-end talent lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, talent reviews, career development, and offboarding.
- Lead the performance management process by facilitating goal setting, performance reviews, talent calibration, and development planning to build high-performing teams.
- Develop and implement employee engagement, recognition, and culture initiatives that enhance employee experience, retention, and productivity.
- Build strong partnerships with regional and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure consistent HR practices while addressing market-specific business needs.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws, statutory requirements, company policies, and governance standards across assigned markets.
- Leverage HR analytics and workforce metrics to provide business insights, identify trends, and support informed decision-making.
- Foster a positive employee relations environment by proactively addressing workplace concerns, coaching managers, and promoting an inclusive and high-performance culture.
- Drive HR transformation, process improvements, and change initiatives that enhance organizational capability and operational excellence.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong business and commercial acumen with the ability to align people strategies with business goals.
- Proven ability to influence and partner with senior stakeholders across multiple geographies.
- Strong understanding of talent management, organizational development, employee relations, and change management.
- Knowledge of labour laws, statutory compliance, and HR governance.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in MS Excel, HR reporting, and workforce analytics.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of ownership, adaptability, and execution excellence in a fast-paced, matrix environment.
Qualifications & Experience
- MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or an equivalent qualification.
- 5–8 years of progressive HR Business Partner experience supporting business functions or regional teams.
- Experience working across emerging markets or within a multinational organization will be an advantage.
