- Maintenance of Industrial peace and harmony
- Negotiate settlements with the Union in respect of Charter of Demands, entering into bilateral agreement and implementation of wage settlement.
- Maintenance of discipline in all matters by providing guidance and advice in matters pertaining to discipline such as conducting domestic enquires, issuing Show Cause Notices, Suspension Orders, Dismissals, etc.
- Ensure compliance to various applicable labour laws
- Liaisoning with Government Officials
- Attend, wherever necessary, court cases related to conciliation, arbitration, adjudication matter etc.
- Review and settle employee / s grievances.
- Supervision and Control Time office functions for bargainable and non-bargainable employees.
- Supervise Salary and Wage Administration of Bargainable employees.
- Participate in development and implementation of HR/Personnel policies, systems and procedures.
- Prepare manpower plan for the plant in consultation with plant head.
- Prepare capital and revenue budget for the department and submission to Corporate HRD, monitor and control expenses within the approved budget.
- Implement performance appraisal system as per the corporate guidelines.
- Plan, recruit and induct bargainable, non-bargainable employees and Trainees in accordance with the manpower plan, policies and corporate guidelines.
- Overall implementation of safety and security measures within the plant and premises.
- Develop and implement welfare programme (Statutory and Non-statutory).
- Prepare competency matrix for all the department, competency mapping for bargainable and non-bargainable employees,
- Develop individual development plan and its implementation and review in co-ordination with Corporate HRD
Support implementation of various Corporate OD initiatives such as Employee engagement survey, leadership survey etc.
