Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Global Payroll Manager to oversee end-to-end payroll operations across the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand. The role is responsible for accurate, timely and compliant payroll delivery, governance, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the complete payroll lifecycle for UK and ANZ employees, ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time.
Review payroll inputs including hires, exits, salary changes, bonuses, allowances, benefits and statutory deductions.
Validate payroll calculations, reconciliations and final payroll outputs before sign-off.
Coordinate with payroll vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless payroll execution. Ensure compliance with UK PAYE, RTI, National Insurance, pensions, Australia Superannuation, STP reporting, New Zealand PAYE and KiwiSaver requirements.
Manage statutory filings, year-end activities, and payroll audits.
Establish payroll controls and governance processes to minimize risk and ensure compliance.
Act as the primary contact for payroll escalations and complex employee queries.
Prepare payroll reports, variance analysis, reconciliations, and management of dashboards.
Drive payroll process improvements, automation initiatives, and system enhancement projects.
Support payroll accounting, accruals, GL reconciliation, and audit requirements. Required
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in human resources, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline.
7–9 years of payroll experience with significant hands-on expertise in UK and ANZ payroll processing.
Proven experience managing end-to-end payroll operations in a multinational or shared services environment.
Experience managing outsourced payroll vendors and service delivery.
Experience supporting payroll transitions, process improvements or system implementations is preferred.
Technical Knowledge & Skills
In-depth knowledge of UK, Australia and New Zealand payroll legislation and statutory compliance.
Hands-on experience with payroll platforms such as ADP, Oracle, or equivalent systems.
Advanced Microsoft Excel, payroll reporting, and data analysis capabilities.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
High attention to detail, confidentiality, and customer service orientation.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines within a fast-paced global environment
