Job Title: Manager – Financial Reporting
Location: Navi Mumbai
Experience: 5+ Years (Post Qualification)
Role Summary
The Manager – Financial Reporting will act as an in-house accounting expert responsible for managing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting in compliance with
IGAAP and IFRS standards. The role includes preparation of financial statements, coordination with external auditors (including Big4 firms), and oversight of internal audit processes.
The incumbent will be a key member of the
Controllership/Finance team, working closely with senior finance leadership to ensure strong financial governance, robust reporting processes and effective internal controls. The role will also act as a key interface between the accounting team, internal stakeholders and external auditors.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with IGAAP and IFRS.
- Provide real-time accounting guidance to the accounting team on complex accounting matters.
- Review and analyse revenue contracts to ensure revenue recognition in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
MIS & Financial Analysis
- Prepare and publish monthly MIS reports along with supporting schedules.
- Prepare monthly cash flow statements and related financial analysis.
- Ensure integrity and accuracy of financial data used in management reporting.
Audit & Regulatory Coordination
- Liaise with external auditors for timely completion of statutory audits.
- Coordinate with internal auditors and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
- Work closely with the Company Secretary (CS) team to support XBRL filings and statutory reporting requirements.
Controls & Process Improvement
- Assist in strengthening internal financial controls and governance frameworks.
- Support the implementation of efficient accounting processes and reporting controls across entities.
- Act as a key link between the accounting team, internal auditors and external auditors.
Reporting Structure
The Manager – Financial Reporting will be part of the
Finance/Controllership function and will report to the
Director / Head of Financial Reporting, who in turn reports to senior finance leadership.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant post-qualification experience in accounting, financial reporting and audit.
- Experience managing accounting, reporting and audit functions across multiple jurisdictions is preferred.
- Hands-on experience in consolidation of multiple entities is essential.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of IGAAP and IFRS.
- Working experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
- Experience working with Big4 auditors is an added advantage.
