📌 This role is best suited for Finance & Accounts professionals who have specialised in EXIM, International Trade and Commercial Operations over the course of their careers.
📌 Applicants must have a strong foundation in Finance & Accounts, with hands-on experience in Import & Export operations, International Trade, Banking, Trade Finance, Customs Compliance and FEMA regulations.
📌 Candidates should have independently managed domestic & international banking transactions, Letters of Credit (LCs), Bank Guarantees, foreign remittances, trade finance activities, customs documentation and regulatory compliance.
📌 The ideal candidate should have worked closely with Finance & Accounts while managing commercial transactions, landed costing, banking, vendor coordination, customs authorities, freight forwarders and international suppliers.
📌 Candidates whose experience is primarily limited to Logistics, Freight Forwarding, Shipping, CHA Operations, Procurement or Supply Chain without significant Finance & Accounts and Banking responsibilities are not a fit for this role.
📌 Hands-on experience in FEMA, DGFT, Customs, RBI regulations, Trade Finance, EXIM documentation, commercial costing and cross-border banking transactions is essential.
📌 Candidates who have independently managed high-value import/export transactions from a commercial, banking and compliance perspective will be strongly preferred.

Position Overview
We at HR Interface Recruitment Consulting are hiring a Manager – Commercial (Finance & Accounts with EXIM Specialization) for one of our prestigious client organizations based in New Delhi. This is an important role within the Finance & Accounts function, responsible for managing end-to-end import-export operations, domestic and international banking, trade finance, FEMA and customs compliance, commercial transactions, vendor management, and coordination with logistics partners to ensure seamless execution of cross-border business operations Finance.

Role & Responsibilities
Finance & Accounts (EXIM)
- Manage the Finance & Accounts function for all import-export and international trade transactions.
- Ensure accurate accounting, commercial documentation, transaction recording and financial controls for domestic and international business operations.
- Work closely with the Accounts team to manage foreign receivables, payables, vendor settlements and banking transactions.
- Support commercial costing, landed cost calculations and financial reporting for import and export activities.
- Ensure financial accuracy and compliance across all cross-border commercial transactions.
EXIM Operations & International Trade
- Manage end-to-end import and export transactions including commercial documentation, customs processes and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with Customs, DGFT, Customs House Agents (CHAs), freight forwarders and logistics partners for seamless execution of international shipments.
- Monitor shipment movement and ensure timely completion of import-export documentation and statutory requirements.
- Support commercial execution of international trade transactions from purchase order through final delivery.
- Ensure adherence to EXIM regulations and international trade procedures.
Banking, Trade Finance & Foreign Exchange
- Manage domestic and international banking operations relating to import and export transactions.
- Handle Letters of Credit (LCs), Bank Guarantees (BGs), foreign remittances, trade finance documentation and banking compliance.
- Coordinate with Authorized Dealer (AD) Banks and financial institutions for smooth execution of cross-border payments.
- Support foreign exchange transactions and ensure compliance with RBI and FEMA regulations.
- Maintain strong working relationships with banking partners and financial institutions.
Regulatory Compliance & Commercial Governance
- Ensure compliance with FEMA, RBI, DGFT, Customs and all applicable EXIM regulations.
- Review import-export documentation for statutory and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor regulatory developments and implement process improvements wherever required.
- Strengthen financial controls and commercial governance to minimise operational, financial and compliance risks.
Vendor, Commercial & Stakeholder Management
- Manage relationships with domestic and international vendors, logistics providers, freight forwarders, customs brokers and service partners.
- Coordinate commercial discussions relating to international transactions and service delivery.
- Support vendor onboarding, documentation, commercial settlements and payment coordination.
- Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders across Finance & Accounts, Operations, Procurement and Leadership.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Act as the Finance & Accounts representative for all EXIM and international trade activities.
- Work closely with Operations, Logistics, Procurement and Commercial teams to ensure timely execution of business transactions.
- Provide management with visibility into commercial transactions, banking activities and compliance status.
- Drive continuous improvement across finance, banking, commercial and EXIM processes.

Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline.
- 7–10 years of experience in Finance & Accounts with significant hands-on exposure to EXIM, International Trade, Commercial Operations, Banking and Trade Finance.
- Demonstrated experience managing import-export transactions, foreign receivables & payables, domestic & international banking, trade finance, commercial documentation and cross-border financial operations.
- Strong working knowledge of FEMA, RBI regulations, DGFT, Customs procedures, EXIM documentation and international trade compliance.
- Hands-on experience managing Letters of Credit (LCs), Bank Guarantees (BGs), foreign remittances, trade finance documentation and banking coordination.
- Experience working with manufacturing, trading, import-export or international business organizations managing cross-border commercial transactions.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with banks, customs authorities, freight forwarders, logistics partners, vendors and internal Finance & Accounts teams to ensure seamless execution of international business transactions.
- Strong understanding of commercial costing, landed cost calculations, foreign vendor settlements, shipment documentation and financial controls relating to import-export operations.
- Excellent analytical, stakeholder management, problem-solving and communication skills.
