Manager – Finance & Accounts (Qualified CA) | Power & Utilities Sector
📍 Location: Daman, India
Budget: 15 Lakh to 25 Lakh
Our client, a large and well-established power distribution company operating in the Union Territories of Daman, Diu, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, is looking to hire a Manager – Finance & Accounts to strengthen their finance leadership team.
This is a core finance role within a regulated infrastructure business, offering strong exposure to financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, and operational finance in the power distribution sector.
About the Client
Our client is a leading private sector power distribution organization responsible for electricity distribution across multiple Union Territories in Western India, serving a large consumer base and operating under regulated utility frameworks.
Role Overview
The selected candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, accounting operations, budgeting, compliance, and taxation, while also managing a team and supporting leadership with financial insights.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting
- Prepare financial statements in accordance with Ind AS, including Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, Cash Flow Statements, and Notes to Accounts.
Accounting & ERP
- Manage and process accounting transactions through SAP / ERP systems while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Budgeting & Financial Planning
- Develop, monitor, and control budgets and financial forecasts.
- Track budget performance and analyze variances.
Financial Analysis
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and potential risks.
- Support decision-making through financial insights and reporting.
Compliance & Audit
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, financial regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate and manage internal and external audits.
Team Management
- Lead and supervise finance team members.
- Support training, performance monitoring, and capability development.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls, and operational efficiency.
Taxation
- Handle Direct and Indirect Tax matters, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
Candidate Profile
✔ Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA)
✔ Experience: ~10 years in Finance & Accounts with minimum 5 years in a managerial role
✔ Experience in large infrastructure / utilities / manufacturing organizations preferred
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Ind AS, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance
- Experience working with SAP or similar ERP systems
- Sound understanding of Direct and Indirect Taxation
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills
- Ability to lead and manage finance teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong problem-solving and time management abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
