How You'll Help Us Connect The World
As Manager Engineering, you will be leading a team of process engineers, test engineers and technicians and responsible for developing, implementing, and controlling the manufacturing and testing process for existing and new Base station antennas and related assemblies. This role will be based in
Verna, Goa.
You Will Make An Impact By
- Being responsible for overall manufacturing and test process controls and infrastructure.
- Developing, implementing and controlling reliable manufacturing and testing processes, machines and infrastructure.
- Being a technical leader inside and outside the department, providing technical training and guidance to the teams.
- Consistently challenging status quo to ensure that department operations are technologically positioned to meet our business requirement.
- Taking leadership roles and facilitating teams in process and quality improvement initiatives.
- Establishing and maintaining an effective staff through performance appraisals, feedbacks, team building, talent retention, staffing and training of technical competence.
- Working with local and global cross functional teams on various projects & initiatives to drive continuous process improvements, cost reductions, problem solving initiatives.
- Influencing product design to provide the best mix of design for manufacturability, ease of assembly and customer service.
- Working in close coordination with supervisors, coordinators, engineers to align priorities and schedules.
- Providing overall technical leadership for developing and implementing innovative processes and technologies.
- Initiating activity and identifies applications for new ones. Make appropriate recommendation to management regarding scope and resource requirements of project. Once approved, lead projects with minimal support from management. Estimate required tasks and resources for manufacturing methods and establishes timeline for projects. Monitor measures of project performance and report project status to management.
- Demonstrating a complete mastery of all aspects in their area of responsibility. Initiating projects and identifying applications outside of their functional areas that will in turn expand and fully utilize the capabilities of the functional area.
- Providing an objective problem-solving resource for all the downstream/upstream processes.
- Preparing and controling departmental annual budget and aligning the monthly costs to production load. Working with engineers, procurement teams, and suppliers to find innovative cost reduction ideas.
- Fostering innovation in the team, developing and implementing new technology, innovative processes, automation to improve productivity, reliability and reduce costs.
Required Qualifications For Consideration
- B.E in Mechanical / Electronics / ETC Engineering
- 12 + years of work experience in a medium volume /mix electro-mechanical manufacturing or production environment with an emphasis on manufacturing processes.
- 5+ years of Managerial Experience.
- Strong experience in Process Engineering.
- Broad understanding of technology within the area of expertise, product application.
- Experience in RF field / Antenna Manufacturing is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of process development experience.
- Competence in process improvement techniques such as process capability studies, DOE's, and probability & statistics.
- Knowledge of relevant design practices, manufacturing processes, and industry specifications.
- Good to have experience in project management, managing technical specialists and demonstrated ability to lead and influence.
