This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Manager, Data Science (Product Analytics) in India.
In this role, you will lead a high-performing team of data scientists focused on product analytics, driving data-informed decision-making across product development and strategy. You will oversee the delivery of actionable insights that shape user experience, feature development, and product impact assessment at scale. Acting as a key partner to product managers, engineers, and designers, you will help embed a strong culture of experimentation and evidence-based decision-making. The position requires balancing speed and rigor in a fast-evolving environment while ensuring data quality and consistency. You will also play a central role in building scalable data products and analytics frameworks that improve accessibility and usability of insights. This is a highly collaborative leadership role within a mission-driven, global, and remote-first environment.
Accountabilities
- Lead and manage a team of approximately seven data scientists, ensuring high-quality delivery of product analytics, insights, and reporting that support strategic and tactical decision-making.
- Drive experimentation, measurement frameworks, and product performance tracking to evaluate user behavior, feature impact, and overall product health.
- Establish and maintain standardized data processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability across analytics outputs.
- Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and research teams to embed data-driven practices into product development cycles.
- Contribute to the design and improvement of scalable data tools, dashboards, and visualization systems to enhance stakeholder access to insights.
- Mentor and coach team members in statistical thinking, experimentation design, storytelling with data, and stakeholder communication.
Requirements
- Strong experience in data science or product analytics, with deep expertise in experimental design, A/B testing, and statistical analysis at scale.
- Proven experience managing and developing data science or analytics teams in a fast-paced, product-driven environment.
- Hands-on experience working with large-scale data systems and tools such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, or Presto.
- Strong ability to translate complex data findings into clear, actionable insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience working closely with product and engineering teams to influence product strategy and decisions.
- Strong communication, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills with a collaborative and inclusive leadership style.
