Job Description
The Manager, Data Management & Governance leads the strategy and delivery of high-quality, decision-ready data that supports financial crime risk analytics, reporting, and decisioning across GFCC and GRC.
This role oversees the full data lifecycle—from discovery and requirements to standardization, validation, and ongoing management—while ensuring strong governance through data quality, lineage, and metadata practices. The goal is to deliver trusted, reliable, and scalable data that meets risk and regulatory needs.
The role also partners closely with business, analytics, technology, and enterprise teams to translate complex requirements into usable data solutions, drive enterprise priorities, and support next-generation financial crime initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute data management and governance strategy for financial crime risk, aligned with enterprise and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and manage a data product roadmap to support analytics, reporting, and risk decisioning.
- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of critical data assets, ensuring data is accurate, consistent, and fit-for-purpose.
- Perform Data Discovery, Develop Data Requirements, Drive Data Standardization, and Validations
- Establish and enforce data governance frameworks, including data quality, lineage, and metadata management.
- Drive data quality monitoring, issue remediation, and continuous improvement to reduce data risk.
- Collaborate with business, risk, compliance, and technology teams to deliver reliable and scalable data solutions.
- Lead and develop data management teams, promoting best practices and a strong culture of data ownership and accountability.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in data management, analytics, or related roles, preferably in financial services
- Experience delivering data strategies and data products for analytics, modeling, or reporting
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, requirements gathering, and data governance (quality, lineage, metadata)
- Advanced analytical skills, including SQL, Python, and BigQuery
- Ability to lead data initiatives and work across teams to drive alignment
- Familiarity with modern data platforms, pipelines, and data tools
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including working with senior leaders
- Experience building and leading teams
