Role: Cisco Catalyst SD‑WAN L3 Engineer / SME
Location: Pune
Experience: 7–10+ years (3–5 years Catalyst SD‑WAN mandatory)
Job Summary
Hiring an experienced
Cisco Catalyst SD‑WAN L3 Engineer with strong hands‑on expertise in
vManage, SD‑WAN Controllers, Catalyst SD‑WAN Edge, overlay/underlay design, OMP, centralized/data policies, segmentation, and advanced routing. The role involves complex SD‑WAN deployments, L3 escalations, WAN migrations, and performance optimization for enterprise networks.
Key Responsibilities
✔️ Deploy, configure & troubleshoot
Cisco Catalyst SD‑WAN (vManage, Controllers, Catalyst SD‑WAN Edge)
✔️ Lead
L3 escalation handling, fabric outages, tunnel issues, OMP & policy failures
✔️ Design hybrid WAN (MPLS + Internet + LTE) and optimize routing
✔️ Migrate legacy MPLS/VPN networks to Catalyst SD‑WAN
✔️ Tune App‑Aware routing, QoS, segmentation & centralized/localized policies
✔️ Perform RCA, upgrades, patches & lifecycle management
✔️ Prepare HLD/LLD, SOPs, runbooks & follow ITIL processes
Required Skills
🔹 Hands‑on expertise in Cisco Catalyst SD‑WAN architecture & components
🔹 Strong in OMP, control/data policies, routing & segmentation
🔹 Protocols: BGP, OSPF, VRF, IPSec
🔹 Tools: SolarWinds, Zabbix, PRTG
🔹 Basic firewall knowledge (Fortinet / Palo Alto / ASA / Checkpoint)
🔹 Strong troubleshooting using PCAP, logs, control connections
Preferred Certifications
🏅 Cisco SD‑WAN Specialist (Catalyst SD‑WAN)
🏅 CCNP Enterprise / Security
🏅 CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure / Security (added advantage)
🏅 ITIL Foundation
