Company Description TECHCONS Consulting and Engineering Pvt. Ltd. is a specialized consulting and engineering company serving the Cement, Lime, Other Minerals, and Thermal Power industries. The organization provides comprehensive design, engineering, and consultancy services across system design, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation, and civil and structural disciplines for both greenfield and brownfield plants. TECHCONS supports clients with technical feasibility studies, detailed project reports, and conceptual/basic engineering. The company also delivers detailed engineering, including fabrication and construction drawings, technical specifications, procurement assistance, and field engineering services such as site supervision and commissioning support.
Role Description The Manager – Civil/Structural Design is a full-time, on-site role based in Navi Mumbai, responsible for leading and coordinating civil and structural design activities for industrial projects. This role oversees the preparation and review of design calculations, fabrication and construction drawings, and technical specifications for cement, lime, mineral, and thermal power plants. The position involves guiding the design team, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards, and collaborating closely with mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines to achieve integrated solutions. The Manager supports project planning, resource allocation, and quality checks, and provides technical input during feasibility studies, project reviews, and field engineering activities. The role also includes mentoring team members, participating in client meetings, and assisting with on-site design clarifications during construction and commissioning.
Qualifications
- Strong civil and structural design skills with experience in industrial plants, including steel and concrete structures, foundations, and load analysis.
- Proficiency in relevant design and drafting software (e.g., STAAD, ETABS, SAP2000, AutoCAD, 3D modeling tools) and familiarity with applicable codes and standards.
- Experience in preparing and reviewing detailed engineering deliverables such as fabrication drawings, construction drawings, and technical specifications.
- Project coordination and leadership abilities, including team management, resource planning, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
- Effective communication and documentation skills for client interactions, technical reporting, and design reviews.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a related field; advanced qualifications or professional certifications are advantageous.
- Prior experience in cement, lime, minerals, or thermal power industry projects and exposure to greenfield/brownfield plant design is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Navi Mumbai, adapt to project schedules, and provide support during site supervision and commissioning activities.
