Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed production and supply plans for forming, processing, and subcontracted operations to ensure timely fulfilment of customer demands.
- Manage line scheduling and ensure effective utilization of manufacturing capacity.
- Oversee raw material planning to support uninterrupted production operations.
- Coordinate closely with sales and customers to ensure accurate and achievable demand forecasts.
- Perform demand analysis using historical sales data and statistical models.
- Analyze and present forecast accuracy metrics such as MAPE, BIAS, and waterfall analysis.
- Monitor and control inventory levels across raw materials, packaging materials, semi-finished, and finished goods to ensure optimal stock availability and working capital efficiency.
- Conduct regular aging and valuation analysis to improve inventory turnover and minimize obsolescence.
- Identify inventory gaps and recommend corrective actions.
- Work closely with the procurement team to develop material requirement plans.
- Ensure timely delivery of components and coordinate with vendors to minimize shortages or delays.
- Collaborate with Production, Quality Assurance, Purchase, EXIM, Finance, and Sales teams to ensure smooth execution of the supply chain plan.
- Prepare and organize S&OP data, Plan vs. Actual reviews, Sales-SCM coordination meetings, and functional budget reviews.
- Prepare regular MIS reports on production vs. plan, inventory levels, and supply performance for senior management review.
- Represent the function in key business review forums.
- Identify and proactively communicate potential supply chain risks and opportunities related to demand fluctuations.
- Initiate QMS-related activities and support cost-saving projects aligned with supply chain excellence initiatives.
Educational Qualification and Experience Range:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Production / Industrial) or equivalent.
- MBA / PGDM in Operations / Supply Chain Management (Preferred).
- 8–12 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain / Production Planning within a manufacturing environment.
Competencies and Skills:
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in SAP (PP, MM, and SD modules)
- Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience in MIS reporting and data interpretation
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
- Proactive approach with strong follow-up and execution skills.
- Strong knowledge of Supply Chain Management, including production planning, raw material planning, demand planning, and supply planning.
- Experience in S&OP coordination, forecasting techniques, and inventory control practices.
- Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills.
