Position Overview:
This role leads the end-to-end execution of the project, ensuring effective budget control, seamless coordination among vendors and stakeholders, and on-time delivery with uncompromising quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Supervision & Execution:
• Daily Monitoring: Conducting regular walk-throughs to oversee daily construction activities and verifying that all work aligns with approved architectural and structural plans.
• Resource Allocation: Ensuring that labor, heavy machinery, and construction materials are effectively deployed and readily available on-site.
• Progress Tracking: Using work breakdown structures and project dashboards to track milestones and hold the site team accountable to the baseline schedule.
2. Quality Control & Safety:
• Safety Compliance: Enforcing rigorous occupational health and safety (OH&S) standards to minimize on-site accidents and liabilities.
• Quality Standards: Performing continuous quality checks to ensure raw materials meet specifications and structural integrity is maintained.
• Punch Lists: Compiling and resolving final "punch list" items or snagging lists before handing over the property to the valued end-users.
3. Budget & Cost Management:
• Cost Monitoring: Tracking monthly cashflow of the project expenditures against the project budget to prevent costly overruns.
• Vendor Management: Managing on-site contractors, sub-trades, and suppliers, ensuring they fulfil the terms of their agreements.
• Change Orders: Managing and negotiating any design modifications or change orders requested by stakeholders on-site.
4. Compliance & Administration:
• Regulatory Adherence: Ensuring all construction practices comply with local zoning laws, building codes, and environmental regulations.
• Permits & Licenses: Working alongside legal teams to secure and maintain all necessary state or municipal licenses and operational approvals.
5. Stakeholder Communication:
• Reporting: Providing accurate, routine progress reports to senior management regarding site status and financial forecasts.
• Problem Resolution: Acting as the central point of contact on the ground to quickly resolve disputes or delays between architects, consultants, PMC and other stakeholders.
Job Requirements:
Educational Qualification:
• BE or B-Tech in Civil Engineering
Work Experience:
• 8 to 10 years of core construction experience and out of this 5-7 years in a leading role.
• Industry Preference: Must have experience working within the Real Estate Developers, Mass Housing projects or Building Infrastructure industries.
