Job Description – Manager / Sr. Manager Business Development (International Marketing)
Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented professional for the role of Manager / Sr. Manager – Business Development (International Marketing). The candidate will be responsible for identifying and developing strategic partnerships for out-licensing biosimilar products across emerging markets. The role involves partner identification, deal negotiation, alliance management, and cross-functional coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful commercialization and market expansion.
This role provides excellent exposure to senior leadership, international markets, and strategic business initiatives within the pharmaceutical industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Licensing selected in house products to emerging markets
- Prepare commercial pitch and product rationale to aid capability based partner identification
- Lead discussions and business case developments for Products with relevant cross functional teams
- Identify potential partners, negotiating terms, develop the Term Sheet outlining deal parameters and accountabilities and prepare Business Cases to facilitate decision making.
- Negotiate Contract terms in consultation with Legal and business units, stakeholders alike.
- Liaison with Legal to finalize contract and produce execution copy.
- Organize Due Diligence of technical documentation in close co-ordination with cross functional teams.
- Alliance Management / Project Management
Competencies:
- Hands on deal making and agreement negotiation experience
- Understanding regulations and nuances of emerging markets
- Understanding of biosimilar business, registration requirements and technicalities is highly desirable
- Live connect with relevant partner companies in key emerging market geographies will be an added advantage
- Ability to handle cross cultural complexities especially when dealing with overseas clientele
- Excellent Communication skills with ability to problem solve
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills and inquisitive disposition
- Ability to work out best deals with the best possible partners
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and to have high sense of empathy
