We manage both dynamic multi-client facilities and dedicated client operations, delivering scalable and highly efficient supply chain solutions.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Manager/Asst Manager of Design Engineering & Infrastructure to lead our warehouse design and space optimization initiatives. In this role, you will lead a dedicated team of design engineers and oversee the end-to-end facility design lifecycle—from initial evaluation and process layout creation to vendor technical clearance and final ground execution.
Operating in a fast-paced 3PL environment, we need a proactive leader who can hit the ground running. You must possess a deep understanding of standard warehouse operations, sophisticated storage solutions, and multi-client facility management, coupled with the ability to navigate complex stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Facility Layout & Process Design
● Solutions Translation: Translate business proposals and operational data from the Solutions team into highly optimized 2D AutoCAD process layouts.
● Comprehensive Drafting & Structural Planning: Develop plan and elevation layouts for multi-client and dedicated facilities. Evaluate newly leased spaces to draft structural layouts, seamlessly integrating the Landlord Scope of Work (LL SOW) and Project Scope of Work into the design process to assist the Real Estate team in finalizing lease agreements and facility modifications and Execution team to carry facility Fitout.
● Dynamic Space Management: Continuously iterate and modify existing facility layouts to accommodate new client onboarding, expansions, or client exits.
Vendor Management & Technical Evaluation
● Specification Design: Define design specifications for storage racking systems and MHE (Material Handling Equipment).
● Technical Vetting: Evaluate and clear vendor-submitted layouts for technical accuracy before passing them to the Commercial team for final pricing negotiations and procurement.
Feasibility Analysis & Project Support
● Capacity Planning: Conduct spatial and operational feasibility studies to determine the viability of accommodating new clients in existing FCs or evaluating proposed new facilities.
● Ongoing Operational Support: Address day-to-day infrastructure modification requests from ground Operations and Maintenance teams, ensuring timely design updates and site execution support.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
● Team Leadership: Direct, mentor, and drive the performance of a team of design engineering professionals.
● Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the central design authority, coordinating requirements across Solutions, Operations, Project Execution, Real Estate, HR, Commercial teams, and clients.
● End-to-End Execution Management: Overview, plan, and manage the end-to-end execution on the ground. Drive projects from the finalized design phase through accurate BOQ (Bill of Quantities) preparation to final ground implementation and site readiness.
Qualifications & Requirements
● Industry Experience: Mandatory prior experience in the 3PL industry, specifically dealing with Fulfillment Centers, Dark Stores, or large-scale warehouse operations.
● Technical Proficiency: Highly proficient in 2D AutoCAD with the ability to independently draft, review, and finalize complex facility layouts.
● Domain Expertise: Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes, advanced racking systems, MHE integrations, and standard warehouse process flows.
● Leadership Skills: Proven track record of managing a technical team and driving project deliverables from concept to execution.
● Project & Stakeholder Management: Excellent ability to negotiate, gather requirements, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders, balancing commercial realities with operational needs.
● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical field.
