Role Description The Assistant Vice President will be responsible for originating, structuring, and executing investment banking transactions, including M&A, fund-raising, and distressed asset resolution mandates. This full-time, on-site role in Mumbai involves conducting detailed financial and commercial analysis, preparing pitch books and transaction documentation, and managing end-to-end deal processes in coordination with senior leadership. The Assistant Vice President will engage with clients, investors, lenders, and other stakeholders, contributing to strategic advice and negotiation support. The role includes overseeing research on industries and companies, supporting pre-bid advisory assignments, and mentoring junior team members to ensure high-quality deliverables. The position requires strong ownership of timelines, adherence to compliance standards, and active participation in business development initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong investment banking and corporate finance skills, including experience in M&A, fund-raising, and distressed asset resolution.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and detailed quantitative analysis.
- Ability to conduct in-depth industry, company, and market research to support transaction insights.
- Excellent skills in creating pitch books, investor presentations, and transaction documentation.
- Advanced communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Experience in leading or managing deal processes, with strong project management and multitasking abilities.
- MBA/ CA / PGDM is mandatory .
- High level of integrity, discretion, and commitment to ethical and regulatory standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and mentor junior team members.
