Job Summary
The Manager , AI Delivery - Claims is a visionary leader responsible for architecting, delivering, and scaling world-class AI workflow products that empower The Standard to become the workplace benefit provider of choice. This role combines strategic technical leadership with hands-on coaching of teams consisting of Data Scientists, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, AIML Engineers, Architects, and Software Engineers. The Manager of AI Delivery partners closely with IT delivery teams and enterprise architecture to innovate and deliver scalable and well-integrated workflow products that leverage cutting-edge AI technologies and methods. Each Manager of AI Delivery focuses on domestic delivery teams, following the direction of the global value stream Director of AI Delivery and AI Product for Claims to ensure products are well-designed, achievable, and scalable.
- Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru , India is a requirement of the role.
Mode of Working: This role follows a hybrid work model, with a primary base in Bengaluru. While on-site presence is essential for key engagements, flexibility is offered for remote work based on business needs and team alignment.
Skills and Background You’ll Need
E ducation
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science , Data Science, Analytics, Engineering, or related field is required . A Master’s degree in Computer Science , Data Science, Analytics, Engineering, or related field is preferred.
E xperience : Typically requires 8 – 10 years’ experience within IT and 3+ years’ experience managing IT employees . Experience leading high-performing engineering teams is required .
- Proven success in delivering AI solutions and managing complex technical portfolios.
- Experience with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP), Agile and DevOps principles, and modern software engineering practices.
- Expertise in AI/ML engineering, data science, software architecture, and agile delivery.
- Familiarity with Databricks, MLflow , AI Gateway, DSPy , RESTful APIs, Pydantic , Generative AI models, and RAG methods.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and talent development skills.
- Ability to manage budgets, resources, and partner relationships.
- Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
40% - Technical Delivery Leadership & Team Development
Inspires and develops high-performing domestic delivery teams that span a wide area of technical expertise to include Data Science, AI/ML Engineering, Software Engineering, and Technical Architecture.
Fosters a culture of continuous innovation, excellence, and one-team mindset within the delivery teams they leads and the product teams they partner with.
Mentors team members, promoting knowledge transfer, cross-training, and professional development.
Sets clear goals for employee development and team performance, ensuring optimal staffing and resource allocation.
Promotes collaboration, transparency, and effective cross-functional partnerships within and across teams.
50% - Product Design, Delivery, and Ongoing Sustainment
Follows direction of the Global Director of AI Delivery while also partnering closely with the AI Product team to design, deliver and support scaled complex technical AI enterprise applications.
Manages capacity and technical capabilities of all domestic internal and externally devoted engineering talent.
Responsible for the delivery of a multiple products across a value stream portfolio with multiple business units.
Oversees the architectural alignment of AI products within their delivery stream, ensuring systems are reliable, robust, scalable, and secure and align to enterprise architectural standards and designs.
Implements the design and deployment of ‘Compound AI’ systems using generative AI, ML advanced analytics, and traditional business rules, all of which may be uniquely combined to achieve a stated business objective.
Responsible for ensuring technical solutions leverage best-in-class technologies, including Databricks (Unity Catalog, MLflow, AI Gateway, DSPy), Pydantic, and leading generative AI models (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude).
Promotes adoption of advanced architectural approaches of ‘compound AI’ systems to include Agentic system design and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) methods (vector, SQL, graph).
Responsible agile delivery goals for domestic AI teams, using DORA metrics (deployment frequency, lead time, change failure rate, MTTR) to guide and improve performance.
Fosters a disciplined agile culture, coaching teams in continuous improvement and delivery excellence.
Manages delivery velocity and quality to meet or exceed business expectations, leveraging LEAN, Agile, and DevOps principles.
Champions responsible AI practices, ensuring systems are accurate, ethical, and aligned with The Standard’s Responsible AI practices, to ensure regulatory and brand risk are properly mitigated.
Responsible model monitoring, validation, documentation, risk controls, and incident response for all AI products within their delivery stream, working closely with the Validation Lead from the AI Strategy and Governance team.
Drives continuous evaluation and improvement of AI systems to maintain high standards of reliability and effectiveness
10 % - Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
Builds and fosters strong relationships with leaders at the Manager level from technical delivery partners and IT platform teams to deliver stable, well integrated, AI workflow applications.
Partners closely with AI Product team members to ensure strategic plans and roadmaps are realistic, which should be informed by global team capacity, technical expertise, vendor capacity, and technical platform capabilities.

Job Specifications
Required education: High School Diploma
Preferred education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics, Engineering, or related field.
Required Experience:
5+ years of progressive experience in technology leadership
Proven success in delivering AI solutions and managing complex technical portfolios.
Experience with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP), Agile and DevOps principles, and modern software engineering practices.
Expertise in AI/ML engineering, data science, software architecture, and agile delivery.
Familiarity with Databricks, MLflow, AI Gateway, DSPy, RESTful APIs, Pydantic, Generative AI models, and RAG methods.
Strong leadership, coaching, and talent development skills.
Ability to manage budgets, resources, and partner relationships.
