Role Description The Manager Accounts role is a full-time, on-site position based in Pune City. The individual in this role will oversee the company’s accounting operations, including general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and monthly/annual closing activities. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing financial statements, monitoring cash flow, ensuring compliance with taxation and statutory requirements, and coordinating with auditors. The Manager Accounts will develop and maintain internal controls, support budgeting and forecasting, and provide financial insights to management for decision-making. This role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, supervising accounting staff, and implementing process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger management.
- Experience in accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing.
- Understanding of taxation, GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance relevant to Indian logistics and transportation businesses.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, ERP systems) and MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to prepare budgets, monitor cash flow, and support financial planning and forecasting.
- Skill in developing internal controls, process documentation, and implementing efficiency improvements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to supervise and mentor accounting team members.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, MBA Finance) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain industries is preferred.
