Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled professional for Tendering, Bidding & Cost Estimation of Transmission Lines, Distribution Networks, Substations, and Solar (PV) Projects. The role involves end-to-end bid management, cost estimation, techno-commercial analysis, and coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure competitive and compliant proposals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Tendering & Bid Management
- Review and analyze tender documents (NIT, RFP, BOQ, technical specifications)
- Identify key requirements, risks, and submission criteria
- Prepare and submit techno-commercial bids within timelines
- Coordinate with internal departments (engineering, procurement, finance, legal)
2. Estimation & Costing
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for:
- Transmission Lines (HV/EHV)
- Distribution Lines (LT/HT networks)
- Substations (AIS/GIS)
- Solar PV Projects (ground-mounted & rooftop)
- BOQ preparation, rate analysis, and cost benchmarking
- Vendor/contractor quotations evaluation and cost comparison
- Develop pricing strategies to enhance bid competitiveness
3. Technical Evaluation
- Interpret drawings, SLDs, layouts, and technical specifications
- Coordinate with engineering team for design inputs and clarifications
- Ensure compliance with client specifications and industry standards
4. Commercial & Contractual Analysis
- Analyze commercial terms, payment conditions, LD clauses, taxes, and duties
- Identify risks and deviations; prepare deviation statements
- Support contract negotiations and finalization
5. Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination
- Liaise with vendors/suppliers for quotations and technical data
- Maintain vendor database and benchmarking records
- Coordinate with clients for pre-bid queries and clarifications
6. Documentation & MIS
- Prepare bid documentation, technical submissions, and compliance sheets
- Maintain records of bids, cost data, and estimation templates
- Generate MIS reports for management review
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of T&D systems and Solar EPC projects
- Expertise in cost estimation, BOQ preparation, and rate analysis
- Understanding of IS/IEC standards, regulatory frameworks
- Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced), ERP systems, AutoCAD (basic understanding)
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
Educational Qualification:
- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical / Mechanical
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with EPC companies handling Transmission, Substation, and Solar projects
Exp: 10+ Yrs
CTC Upto 30 LPA
