Our client is a leading integrated food and poultry operations company with a strong focus on farm excellence, animal health, biosecurity, and sustainable production practices across South India.
Role Overview
The Manager – Technical & Health will be responsible for monitoring broiler farm health, implementing biosecurity systems, and ensuring optimal flock performance across multiple farm locations. The role requires strong expertise in poultry health management, disease prevention programs, and compliance with food safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee overall health, welfare, biosecurity, and performance of broiler farms to ensure optimal productivity and flock well-being
- Develop and implement disease prevention, vaccination, diagnosis, and treatment programs across all farms
- Conduct regular farm inspections ensuring compliance with FSSAI, EU (where applicable), and other food safety standards
- Monitor and enforce farm-level SOPs and operational management systems for consistency and efficiency
- Supervise feed quality, storage practices, and nutritional performance to achieve production targets
- Ensure proper housing management, environmental control, hygiene, and biosecurity measures across farm locations
- Monitor animal welfare and hygiene standards during live bird transportation
- Coordinate with production, feed, logistics, and quality teams for smooth operations
- Conduct training programs for farm staff on bird health, disease prevention, and biosecurity practices
- Maintain relationships with farmers, farm workers, regulatory authorities, and key stakeholders
- Prepare and submit reports on flock performance, health status, audits, and technical operations
- Support implementation of SOPs, farm management systems, and compliance documentation
- Ensure timely communication with reporting managers on operational and technical matters
- Undertake additional responsibilities as required by management
Educational Qualification
BVSc & AH / MVSc / Doctorate in Veterinary Science or related discipline
