Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Manager – Service & Bodyshop based in Indore. The Manager will oversee day-to-day operations of the service and bodyshop departments, including workshop planning, resource allocation, and productivity monitoring. Responsibilities include managing technician and service advisor teams, ensuring adherence to manufacturer standards, and maintaining strong focus on quality, safety, and turnaround times. The Manager will handle customer escalations, ensure high satisfaction levels, and coordinate vehicle delivery commitments. The role also involves monitoring key performance indicators, managing parts and inventory coordination, controlling operational costs, and supporting revenue and profitability targets. The Manager will collaborate with senior leadership on process improvements, training needs, and implementation of service initiatives.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in automotive service center and bodyshop management, preferably in a dealership or multi-brand workshop environment.
- Strong customer service and relationship management skills, with the ability to handle escalations and ensure a positive customer experience.
- Hands-on knowledge of vehicle servicing, body repair processes, paint shop operations, and quality control practices.
- Experience in team leadership, including supervision, coaching, performance management, and workforce planning.
- Ability to monitor and manage operational KPIs, service targets, and cost control measures.
- Familiarity with service management software, job card systems, and basic MS Office tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate across departments such as sales, parts, and administration.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational abilities, with attention to detail and safety standards.
- Diploma or degree in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred; relevant technical or management certifications are an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Indore and adapt to a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
