Role Overview
We are looking for a dynamic Sales & Marketing professional with strong experience
in the steel industry, particularly in rolling mills and related equipment. The role
involves driving business growth through a combination of strategic marketing, direct
sales, and relationship management with key industry players.
Key Responsibilities
Drive sales and business development activities to achieve revenue and
growth targets.
Identify new business opportunities in steel plants, rolling mills.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and key
decision-makers.
Handle the complete sales cycle — from lead generation, client meetings,
techno-commercial discussions, to order closure.
Understand customer technical requirements (rolling mill
processes/equipment) and coordinate with internal teams to propose suitable
solutions.
Prepare and deliver technical and commercial proposals, negotiations, and
contract finalization.
Manage and grow existing accounts to ensure repeat business and long-term
partnerships.
Develop and implement marketing strategies including client visits,
references, exhibitions, and promotional activities.
Represent the company at industry events, trade fairs, and customer sites.
Track market trends, competitor activities, and pricing to strengthen business
positioning.
Coordinate with production, design, and execution teams to ensure customer
satisfaction and timely delivery.
Key Requirements
10–12 years of experience in Sales & Marketing within the steel industry,
preferably in rolling mills or related equipment.
Strong knowledge of steel manufacturing processes, especially rolling mill
operations and machinery.
Proven track record in business development and order booking.
Strong network within steel plants, rolling mills, and industry stakeholders.
Ability to handle techno-commercial discussions independently.
Good understanding of competitors, market trends and customer behaviour.
Proficiency in MS Office.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
Experience in handling turnkey projects, capital equipment, or industrial
products.
Willingness to travel extensively (domestic/international).
