Purpose of the JobTo lead customer-linked NPD, application development and product commercialisation for FruitFM’s core business priorities: pomegranate, key accounts, GCC, private label and plant-scale product execution. The role must convert customer briefs into practical, scalable and repeatable products, while ensuring every NPD project has a customer, purpose, owner, deadline and business value.
Key Accountabilitiesa) Lead customer-linked NPD and application work.
b) Convert customer briefs into practical samples.
c) Own NPD pipeline for core priorities.
d) Maintain live NPD project tracker.
e) Drive private label product development.
f) Support pomegranate product readiness.
g) Convert lab recipes into plant-ready batches.
h) Support plant trials with Operations and Quality.
i) Resolve formulation and product stability issues.
j) Maintain formulations, trial records and specifications.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)- Priority sample TAT: ≤7–10 working days.
- Private label development: ≤30 days for approved briefs.
- Sample-to-order conversion: ≥35% for qualified projects.
- NPD discipline: zero non-core projects without approval.
- Documentation & tracking: 100% tracker, trial and formulation records updated monthly.
Additional Functions of the Job Holder- Support NPD reviews and reporting.
- Support product costing and feasibility checks.
- Support process improvement where needed.
- Support Quality and Operations during trials.
- Maintain NPD discipline and readiness.
Fundamental Requirements- Food Technology / Food Science qualification.
- 5–10 years hands-on NPD / application experience.
- Strong formulation and plant-scale trial knowledge.
- Experience in fruit, dairy, beverage or food ingredients.
- Good documentation, project tracking and cross-functional coordination.
