Bee Talent Solutions is a U.S.-based staffing and recruiting company supporting some of the world’s leading technology and SaaS organizations. As we continue to expand our India operations, we are looking for a hands-on HR professional to build and manage compliant, scalable HR operations for both internal employees and contract consultants.
About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on Manager – HR Operations & Compliance (India) to manage end-to-end HR operations for our India workforce, including internal employees and contract consultants.
This role will own onboarding, offboarding, payroll inputs, HRMS administration, employee documentation, statutory compliance, and employee relations. The ideal candidate will also serve as a trusted advisor to leadership by identifying compliance gaps and recommending practical improvements as we scale our India operations.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle
- Manage end-to-end onboarding and offboarding for employees and contractors.
- Prepare offer letters, employment agreements, consultant contracts, and exit documents.
- Coordinate background verification, document collection, and joining formalities.
- Maintain complete and audit-ready employee and contractor records.
Payroll & HRMS Administration
- Consolidate and validate monthly payroll inputs, including new hires, exits, salary changes, incentives, reimbursements, leave, and deductions.
- Coordinate with payroll and finance teams to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
- Maintain accurate employee and contractor data in the HRMS.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with applicable Indian labor laws and statutory requirements.
- Manage POSH administration, labor law notices, and required registers and records.
- Review employment-related templates and recommend updates to policies and processes.
- Identify compliance gaps and advise leadership on corrective actions.
Employee Relations & Benefits
- Handle employee queries and grievances confidentially and professionally.
- Administer leave, insurance enrollment, and employee benefits.
- Support employee engagement and HR communications.
Vendor Management & Reporting
- Manage relationships with payroll, background verification, and insurance vendors.
- Prepare HR reports and dashboards on headcount, attrition, payroll, and compliance.
- Support HR due diligence for expansion into new states and new client requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 6–8 years of hands-on experience in HR operations, payroll coordination, and statutory compliance in India.
- Staffing industry experience is a must.
- Strong knowledge of Indian employment laws and statutory compliance requirements.
- Proven experience managing end-to-end onboarding and offboarding for both internal employees and contract consultants.
- Must have experience supporting a contract workforce, including consultant agreements, renewals, extensions, and related documentation.
- Experience coordinating monthly payroll inputs and validating payroll reports.
- Hands-on experience with HRMS platforms; experience with Keka HRMS is highly preferred.
- Experience handling employee grievances, leave administration, insurance, and employee documentation.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as an individual contributor in a fast-paced startup environment.
Preferred Background
- Experience working with U.S.-based or multinational organizations is an added advantage.
