Role Overview
The Manager – Global Partnerships will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, negotiating, and managing international content partnerships focused on OTT platforms, short-format content (TikTok/YouTube Shorts-style), micro-dramas, travel/destination videos, and other non-traditional digital content formats suitable for in-flight entertainment.
This role is critical in expanding Aeroplay’s diversified content portfolio and delivering innovative, high-engagement content offerings to airline clients globally.
Key Responsibilities
● Identify and build partnerships with OTT platforms, digital first studios, short format creators, micro drama producers, and global content networks.
● Negotiate and finalize licensing, distribution, co-production, and content acquisition deals.
● Manage end-to-end onboarding of partners, collaborating closely with content,technical, and post-production teams to ensure seamless integration into Aeroplay’s IFE pipeline.
● Track partner performance, monitor content consumption trends, and drive continuous content refresh and optimization.
● Explore and introduce innovative content formats (micro-series, quick bites, destination guides, travel videos, etc.).
● Collaborate with airline clients and internal stakeholders to curate content aligned with route demographics and cultural preferences.
● Ensure compliance with global content security and regulatory standards.
● Maintain strong global relationships and stay updated on industry trends across OTT and digital content ecosystems.
● Drive business development initiatives to support overall revenue growth and strategic expansion.
● Support the growth of business partnerships by identifying new opportunities and strengthening existing relationships.
● Assist in the preparation and delivery of RFPs and client presentations.
Required Skills & Experience
● 4–8 years’ experience in content partnerships, licensing, acquisitions, or digital media business development.
● Strong understanding of OTT platforms, short-form video ecosystems, and digital content trends.
● Proven negotiation and contract-management experience.
● Cross-functional collaboration skills, especially with content, technical, and post-production teams.
● Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
● Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate content performance and market potential.
● Bachelor’s degree in Media, Business, Communications, or related field (MBA preferred).
