Position: Manager- Freight Brokerage

Shift: US/ Night Shift- 6:30 PM to 3:30 AM
Location: Noida
Role Summary: Manager – Freight Brokerage
The Manager oversees the end-to-end movement of freight across the United States. This involves bridging the gap between shippers who need goods moved and carriers who have the capacity, all while navigating the complexities of US transportation laws and time zones.
Core Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Supervise a team of Freight Brokers and Logistics Coordinators, ensuring they meet daily load-matching and margin targets.
- Carrier Management: Build and maintain a reliable network of US carriers. This includes vetting carriers via SAFER or Certified Broker platforms to ensure safety ratings and insurance are active.
- Rate Negotiation: Mastery of the "Spot" and "Contract" markets. The Manager must guide the team in negotiating competitive rates using tools like DAT iQ or Truckstop.com.
- Compliance & Risk: Ensure all shipments comply with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, maintaining the brokerage’s MC (Motor Carrier) and DOT authority.
- Problem Resolution: Act as the final escalation point for "hot loads," breakdowns, or transit delays (O.S.& D. – Overages, Shortages, and Damages).
The US Process Workflow
- Lead Generation: Identifying US-based shippers (manufacturers, distributors).
- Quoting: Analyzing lane density and current market rates to provide accurate quotes.
- Dispatching: Assigning loads to carriers and verifying driver details.
- Tracking (Check Calls): Monitoring transit via ELD (Electronic Logging Device) integrations.
- Billing & Settlement: Ensuring the "Proof of Delivery" (POD) is received and processed for payment.
