About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on Manager - Finance to lead the end-to-end finance function for a multi-entity group with operations in the UAE and India. You will be responsible for full-spectrum controllership, FP&A, treasury, tax & regulatory compliance, audit, internal controls, and finance systems. You’ll manage a cross-location finance team and partner with business leaders to drive profitability, cash flow, and governance.
Key Responsibilities
1) Financial Control & Closing
- Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close; ensure accurate books for all group entities, intercompany eliminations, and group consolidation (Ind AS/IGAAP; IFRS exposure preferred).
- Maintain a robust chart of accounts, reconciliations (bank, GR/IR, vendor/customer, intercompany, advances), accruals, provisions, and fixed assets register.
- Drive audit readiness: prepare schedules, lead statutory and internal audits, and close audit queries on time.
2) Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, cash budgets, and long-range plans.
- Build management reporting packs: P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, variance analysis, business unit/entity margin analysis, product/segment profitability, and KPI dashboards.
- Partner with business heads to evaluate pricing, capex/opex, ROI/IRR, and scenario planning.
3) Taxation & Regulatory Compliance
India:
- Ensure accurate and timely GST returns, TDS/TCS, corporate tax computations, Form 3CD/3CB, advance tax, and assessments.
- Manage transfer pricing documentation for intercompany transactions, support TP study and benchmarking.
- Comply with Companies Act requirements, Secretarial coordination, and MCA filings.
UAE:
- Oversee Corporate Tax (CT) compliance (generally 9% subject to thresholds/exemptions), tax registrations, returns, and supporting documentation.
- Ensure VAT compliance (if applicable): registrations, periodic returns, and reconciliations.
- Monitor permanent establishment risks, applicability, and coordinate with advisors.
Cross-border:
- Manage FEMA/RBI compliance (ODI/FDI, intercompany loans, guarantees, outward remittances).
- Optimize tax structure across UAE & India in coordination with external advisors.
4) Treasury, Working Capital & Banking
- Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts, funding plans, and liquidity buffers.
- Optimize working capital: receivables, inventory, payables; drive collections cadence and credit controls.
- Manage bank relationships, L/Cs, BGs, FX hedging, and loan compliance (covenants, interest resets, renewals).
5) Internal Controls, Policies & Governance
- Implement and monitor internal controls, SoPs, and delegation of authority (DoA).
- Strengthen procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, record-to-report processes; minimize revenue leakage and non-compliance risks.
- Lead risk assessments and remediation plans; enforce entity-level and ITGC controls in coordination with IT.
6) Systems, Data & Automation
- Own the finance tech stack (ERP such as Tally/SAP/Oracle/Zoho; reporting via Excel/Power BI).
- Drive process automation (e-invoicing/e-way bill in India, bank integrations, OCR, reconciliation tools).
- Ensure master data integrity and cross-entity comparability.
7) Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead and mentor a multi-location finance team; build succession, training, and performance management plans.
- Serve as finance business partner to all Portfolio Units, Business Entities & departments
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, banks, and regulatory bodies.
Must-Have Qualifications & Experience
- CA / CMA (preferred) or MBA (Finance) from a recognized institution.
- 8–12+ years of progressive finance experience, including at least 3–5 years in a leadership/managerial role.
- Strong exposure to multi-entity/group consolidation and cross-border operations (UAE + India).
- Deep knowledge of Indian GAAP/Ind AS, IFRS (working knowledge), and direct/indirect tax regimes for India and UAE.
- Hands-on with ERP (Tally Prime/ERP, SAP, Oracle, or Zoho), advanced Excel, and Power BI/reporting tools.
- Proven experience in treasury, working capital, and banking instruments (L/C, BG, FX).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management; English required; Malayalam and Hindi an advantage; Arabic is a plus.
Qualifications & Experience
