The Opportunity
The Manager – Accounts & Finance will be responsible for managing the day-to-day finance operations of multiple international entities, ensuring timely financial reporting, statutory compliance, payroll management, treasury operations, and process improvements. The role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, leadership capabilities, and experience working in a multi-country and multi-currency environment.

Role Summary
The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and financial planning across UK, and US entities. The role ensures accurate financial management, statutory compliance, audit coordination, cash flow monitoring, payroll oversight, and effective accounts receivable and payable management. Leading a finance team, the incumbent will drive process improvements, strengthen internal controls, support business decision-making through timely financial insights, and ensure adherence to local and international accounting standards while fostering a high-performance and collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Payroll & Statutory Compliance
- Manage end-to-end payroll operations across multiple international entities, including the US, UK, Australia, Vietnam, and Malaysia.
- Coordinate with local payroll providers and HR teams to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
- Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements, including tax filings, social security contributions, pension obligations, and other employment-related compliances.
- Review payroll reconciliations and resolve payroll-related queries.
2. Accounts Payable Management
- Oversee the complete Accounts Payable (AP) function across group entities.
- Review vendor invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Ensure timely processing of vendor payments and employee reimbursements.
- Ensure proper approval workflows and internal financial controls.
3. Treasury & Fund Management
- Manage cash flow requirements across overseas entities.
- Coordinate fund transfers between group companies while ensuring compliance with internal treasury policies.
- Liaise with banking partners regarding banking operations, account management, foreign remittances, and payment-related matters.
4. Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and supervise the finance and accounting team.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance.
- Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure adherence to internal controls.
5. Finance Induction & Training
- Conduct finance induction sessions for all new employees.
- Educate employees on company finance policies, expense reimbursement procedures, procurement processes, and internal controls.
- Support periodic finance awareness and compliance training.
6. Financial Closing & Reporting
- Support monthly and annual financial close activities.
- Ensure timely completion of month-end and year-end accounting processes.
- Review reconciliations, accruals, and provisions.
- Maintain the integrity and accuracy of financial records.
7. Statutory Audit & External Reporting
- Coordinate with external auditors during statutory audits.
- Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation.
- Resolve audit queries and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
- Support preparation of statutory financial statements.
8. Management Information System (MIS)
- Prepare monthly MIS reports and financial dashboards for management.
- Analyse financial performance and explain key variances against budget and prior periods.
9. Consolidation & Financial Statements
- Prepare consolidated financial statements for multiple overseas entities.
- Perform intercompany reconciliations and elimination entries.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards during consolidation.
10. Accounting & Financial Control
- Ensure accurate accounting in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Review general ledger entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Monitor fixed assets, provisions, accruals, prepaid expenses, and revenue recognition.
11. Taxation
- Possess working knowledge of direct and indirect taxation.
- Coordinate with external tax advisors for tax filings and assessments.
- Ensure compliance with GST/VAT, withholding tax, corporation tax, transfer pricing support, and other applicable tax regulations.
12. ERP & Systems
- Maintain strong working knowledge of Zoho Books.
- Support system enhancements, and system optimization initiatives.
- Improve reporting through effective utilization of ERP capabilities.
13. Automation & Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to automate manual finance processes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and financial controls.
- Develop SOPs and standardize finance processes across all group entities.
14. Budgeting & Forecasting
- Support preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Monitor budget utilisation and analyse budget versus actual performance.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent knowledge of cash flow management and treasury operations.
- Strong command over Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and financial closing processes.
- Knowledge of direct and indirect taxation.
- Experience with payroll management across multiple countries.
- Proficiency in Zoho Books and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, Pivot Tables, financial modelling).
- Experience in preparing consolidated financial statements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial interpretation skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
- High attention to detail with strong organisational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA).
- 4–6 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, preferably in a multinational organisation.
- Experience handling multi-country accounting, payroll, treasury, and statutory compliance.
- Exposure to ERP implementation, finance transformation, and process automation projects will be an added advantage.
