Key Responsibilities – Manager (Debt Syndication)
Transaction Execution & Deal Management
- Lead end-to-end execution of debt syndication transactions including term loans, working capital facilities, structured finance, and project finance
- Manage deal lifecycle from origination to closure, ensuring timely execution and client satisfaction
- Liaise with banks, NBFCs, financial institutions, and credit funds for deal placement
Client Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporates, promoters, CFOs, and treasury teams
- Act as a key point of contact for clients throughout the fund-raising process
- Understand client requirements and structure customized financing solutions
Financial Analysis & Credit Evaluation
- Analyze financial statements, cash flows, and credit profiles of clients
- Assess debt capacity, repayment capability, and key risk factors
- Prepare credit notes, financial models, and ratio analysis for lender discussions
Structuring & Solutioning
- Design optimal capital structures and financing solutions based on client needs
- Structure complex transactions including mezzanine financing, structured debt, and refinancing
- Evaluate pricing, covenants, and security structures
Lender Coordination & Deal Closure
- Engage with lenders for term sheet negotiations, sanction discussions, and documentation
- Coordinate due diligence, legal, and technical processes with stakeholders
- Drive closure of transactions within defined timelines
Market & Industry Intelligence
- Track trends in interest rates, credit markets, and regulatory environment
- Maintain strong understanding of sector-specific financing dynamics
- Identify new opportunities in debt markets and emerging financing products
Documentation & Compliance
- Oversee preparation and review of sanction letters, loan agreements, and security documents
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal processes
- Maintain accurate documentation and audit trails
Team Management & Leadership
- Mentor and guide analysts and junior team members
- Review financial models, presentations, and deal materials prepared by the team
- Drive team productivity and ensure high-quality deliverables
Pipeline Management & Reporting
- Maintain and track deal pipeline, revenue forecasts, and closure timelines
- Provide regular MIS and updates to senior leadership
- Ensure proper documentation of deal progress and client interactions
Ideal Candidate Profile
- CA / MBA (Finance) / CFA (preferred) from a reputed institution
- 4–8 years of experience in debt syndication, corporate banking, credit, or structured finance
- Strong understanding of debt products, credit appraisal, and financial structuring
- Proven track record in executing debt transactions and managing lender relationships
- Excellent financial analysis, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple transactions in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment
