As a Manager – Business Development, you will be responsible for driving global business development activities with corporate clients under pManifold which includes lead generation, sales pipeline management, proposal writing, cost estimations, contract management, client relationship management, client communication, CRM, MIS and related activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities aligned with the company’s growth strategy.
- Develop and maintain relationships with potential clients, key decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Work closely with the senior leadership team to develop proposals and pitch presentations for prospective clients.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create and execute campaigns that generate leads and enhance brand awareness.
- Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure, while ensuring client satisfaction through regular follow-ups.
- Conduct market research, identify emerging opportunities and build a strong pipeline of potential clients.
- Attend industry events and conferences to network and promote the company’s services.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals and contracts; negotiate commercial terms and close sales.
- Contribute to thought leadership through knowledge-based industry engagement.
- Identify and pursue RFP / ToR-based opportunities.
- Drive active private sector engagement for lead generation.
- Bring exposure to consulting-based proposal writing and project delivery processes.
- Provide regular updates to the senior leadership team on business development activities and progress toward revenue goals.
- Build and manage strong long-term relationships with key accounts by proactively engaging with clients, acting as the primary point of contact and ensuring alignment with client and partner objectives.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Master’s degree in Engineering / MBA preferred, with specialization in Energy, Power Management, Petroleum or a related field.
- Preferred minimum of 3 years of experience in business development, sales or marketing, preferably in a consulting or professional services firm.
- Prior work experience in the Energy, Climate or Transport sector is highly preferred.
- Proven track record of generating new business opportunities and successfully closing deals.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends and identify growth opportunities.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Knowledge of the consulting industry and relevant market trends.
- Willingness to travel as required for client meetings and industry events.
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and MS Word.
- Familiarity with CRM software, email marketing tools and project management tools.
