Manager – AI for Social Innovation Location: Ahmedabad / Delhi NCR (Hybrid with travel as needed)

CTC Range: INR 12 – 15 LPA

Role OverviewWe are looking for a Manager – AI for Social Innovation to translate CSRBOX’s vision for AI for Better Bharat into actionable programmes. The role will sit at the intersection of technology, public systems, CSR funding and grassroots implementation. The manager will identify high‑impact AI use‑cases, pilot and scale innovations with partners, and build a responsible AI ecosystem that benefits underserved communities.
This position is on a leadership track but is scoped for mid‑career professionals—ideal for applicants who have 5–10 years of experience in technology start‑ups, AI‑driven ventures, digital transformation programmes or the social innovation ecosystem.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership & Roadmap Development● Develop a 3–5‑year roadmap for the AI for Better Bharat vertical that aligns with CSRBOX’s CSR mandates and India’s public‑policy priorities.
● Identify AI applications with high potential for social impact across healthcare, agriculture, climate resilience, inclusion, education, senior care, sustainability and governance; design scalable models to pilot and scale them.
● Build a responsible‑AI framework that ensures ethical use, privacy, inclusivity and transparency in every intervention.
Identification & Deployment of AI Interventions● Continuously monitor emerging AI tools, start‑ups, research labs and enterprise solutions and assess their feasibility for rural/urban deployment.
● Lead pilot programmes in partnership with government departments, academic institutions, start‑ups and CSR‑funded projects, ensuring that data governance, accessibility and measurable social impact are embedded from the outset.
● Document learning and create playbooks for replicating pilots in other geographies.
. Ecosystem and Partnerships●
Build partnerships with universities, AICTE institutions and technical campuses to create
AI Innovation Labs and promote
student‑led innovation for Bharat‑centric challenges.● Work closely with
CSR/ESG teams, philanthropic foundations and corporate donors to secure funding for AI pilots; draft concept notes, proposals and board‑ready presentations.● Anchor collaborations with technology companies, incubators, AI for good accelerators and innovation networks to amplify impact.
Programme Execution & Team Coordination● Coordinate cross‑functional teams within CSRBOX (domain experts, technology partners, field teams) to ensure effective execution, monitoring, evaluation and scaling.● Develop dashboards and impact measurement frameworks to monitor progress and communicate outcomes to stakeholders.● Provide mentorship to junior team members and help build organisational capabilities in AI and digital transformation.
Thought Leadership & Advocacy● Represent CSRBOX at conferences, hackathons and policy forums on
AI for Social Good.● Contribute to whitepapers and policy briefs on responsible AI deployment; help position
AI for Better Bharat as a national platform for inclusive AI innovation.
Eligibility and Preferred Background
● 5–10 years of experience in roles such as product/program management, technology adoption, social innovation or CSR programme design.
● Exposure to AI/ML applications and ability to translate technical concepts into real‑world solutions; coding expertise is not mandatory but the candidate must be able to evaluate AI tools and solutions critically.
● Demonstrated experience in start‑ups, incubation environments or digital‑transformation programmes is highly preferred.
● Understanding of CSR regulations and social‑impact measurement; prior experience working with public systems, non‑profits or multilateral agencies is an advantage.
● Graduate or postgraduate degree in Engineering, Data Science, Public Policy, Management or related fields.
● Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills; ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
