Designation: Management Representative ( QC - MR )
Experience: 8 - 15 years
Location - Chennai
Responsibilities:
1. Quality Management System (QMS) Implementation
Develop, implement, and maintain the QMS in line with standards like ISO 9001
Ensure all fabrication processes (laser cutting, bending, welding) comply with documented procedures
2. Management Representative Responsibilities
Act as the official Management Representative for audits and certifications
Report QMS performance, risks, and improvement areas to top management
3. Process Control & Standardization
Establish SOPs for laser cutting, CNC bending, and welding operations
Monitor adherence to process parameters and control plans on the shop floor
4. Internal & External Audits
Plan and conduct internal audits across fabrication processes
Coordinate with external auditors and ensure closure of audit findings
5. Continuous Improvement Initiatives
Drive Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma initiatives in fabrication lines
Reduce defects like weld rework, dimensional deviations, and cutting inaccuracies
6. Non-Conformance Management
Identify, analyze, and resolve non-conformities in fabrication processes
Lead root cause analysis (RCA) using tools like 5 Why, Fishbone
7. Customer Complaint Handling
Address customer complaints related to fabrication quality (weld defects, fitment issues, etc.)
Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
8. Process Capability & Quality Monitoring
Monitor KPIs such as rejection rate, rework %, welding defect rate
Ensure capability of processes like laser accuracy, bend tolerances, and weld strength
9. Training & Skill Development
Train operators and supervisors on quality standards and fabrication best practices
Ensure welder qualifications and certifications are maintained
10. Documentation & Compliance
Maintain quality records, process documents, inspection reports
Ensure compliance with customer, statutory, and safety requirements in heavy fabrication
