Why Management Computer Services

Management Computer Services (MCS) is a SaaS (Software as a Service) company that combines the best of both worlds. By serving our industry for 50+ years, we have established ourselves as a pioneer in affordable housing software, giving our employees confidence in both the security and longevity of MCS. At the same time, MCS is a family owned-and-operated business, which puts you in the heart of a dedicated and supportive team. Our goal is to ensure that as we evolve and grow as a business, so do our employees! We do this by equipping our teams with advanced tools, training, and career opportunities. This, in turn, produces cutting-edge solutions, strategies, and support for our clients, allowing MCS to keep our spot as an industry leader in affordable housing software. We work in a collaborative, energetic, results-oriented environment that recognizes and rewards exceptional performance. Our goal is to ensure that as we evolve and grow as a business, so do you as an employee.

About the Role

As a Software Trainer I, you'll embark on a journey of empowerment, guiding new clients through the intricacies of our software with precision and expertise. Whether conducting virtual or in-person training sessions, your goal remains unwavering: to empower clients with the tools and knowledge needed to unlock the full potential of PHA-Web. With a focus on building confidence and proficiency, you'll pave the way for a more efficient and effective working environment for housing authorities nationwide.

This role is designed for team members who want to grow into client-facing implementation and training, but you will begin by strengthening client success and system expertise in our new Step-Down Unit.

Requirements

What You’ll Do First (Step-Down Unit)

  • Support clients after go-live to ensure successful system adoption
  • Lead live classes and refresher trainings
  • Troubleshoot real client issues and reinforce correct workflows
  • Partner with Trainers on client support and special projects
  • Build deeper understanding of how clients use PHA-Web day-to-day

Growth Path

As you demonstrate readiness, you will transition into:

  • Leading full client implementations
  • Running structured onboarding projects (2–3 month lifecycle)
  • Delivering onsite and remote trainings
  • Taking ownership of client outcomes from start to finish

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong understanding of PHA-Web workflows (or ability to learn quickly)
  • Reliable follow-through and attention to detail
  • Ability to explain processes clearly and patiently
  • Comfortable working with clients at different skill levels
  • Interest in stepping into a more structured, client-facing role

Work Structure

  • Monday–Friday schedule
  • Fridays focused on internal work, collaboration, and improvement
  • Hybrid work depending on role progression

Important to Know

  • This is a developmental role, not an immediate transition to implementation/training
  • Success here comes from consistency, ownership, problem-solving, proper execution
  • You will be expected to earn increased responsibility over time

Why This Role

  • Clear path into Training and Implementation
  • Opportunity to deepen system expertise
  • Direct impact on client success and retention
