About The Role
As an SAP Basis Engineer, you will assist in the management, optimization, and support of our SAP infrastructure.
You will contribute to ensuring the smooth operation of SAP systems, including system installation, configuration, performance tuning, and security management.
Working under the guidance of senior engineers, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical support for SAP applications.
Your role will help maintain the stability and scalability of our SAP environments, ensuring they align with business needs and objectives.
Location : Bangalore.
Work mode : Hybrid.
Experience : 7+years.
Responsibilities
- Monitor system performance to proactively avoid outages, troubleshoot issues, and manage multiple SAP systems within the landscape.
- Oversee transport management, system copies, and the integration of BOLT-ONS, ensuring proper connectivity with other SAP and Non-SAP systems.
- Configure and troubleshoot printers in the SAP environment to ensure smooth operations.
- Document support activities, track changes, and manage the process for changes; prepare Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major incidents to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure alignment of SAP systems with business objectives and compliance with organizational standards, policies, and procedures.
- Ensuring compliance with SLAs, managing on-call support schedules, and maintaining 24/7 operational availability.
Requirements
- Expertise in Suse Linux and Windows Server versions 2016/2019/2022.
- Strong knowledge of at least 2-3 databases : Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, SAPDB, Sybase, or HANA.
- Experience with SAP landscapes, including system performance monitoring, transport management, and integration of BOLT-ONS.
- Familiarity with configuration and troubleshooting of printers in an SAP environment.
- Experience in incident management, troubleshooting, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) documentation.
