Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Malayalam Professor at the Thiruvananthapuram Taluk campus. The Malayalam Professor will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate students, designing curriculum, conducting lectures, and supervising research projects. Regular responsibilities include developing academic materials, assessing student performance, promoting the use of modern pedagogical techniques, and contributing to academic research and departmental growth. In this role, the professor will also mentor students and actively participate in academic and cultural activities.
Qualifications
- Expertise in the Malayalam language, literature, and linguistics, with the ability to teach these subjects effectively.
- Strong research background and experience in conducting academic research, with published work in reputable journals or conferences.
- Skilled in curriculum development, innovative teaching methodologies, and use of educational technologies for teaching and learning.
- Proficiency in mentoring, student engagement, and academic advising to inspire and support learners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster a collaborative academic environment.
- Ph.D. in Malayalam or a related field with a strong emphasis on teaching and research experience.
- Familiarity with interdisciplinary collaboration and contribution to academic and cultural growth within the institution.
- Prior teaching experience in a higher education institution and fluency in English and Malayalam are advantageous.
