Make A Difference (MAD) is one of India’s largest millennial-driven non-profit organizations, dedicated to transforming outcomes for children in need of care and protection. Our vision is to ensure equitable outcomes for all children in care in India, comparable to those of the middle class. We support approximately 3,500 children across 60 shelters in 23 cities, powered by a volunteer-driven workforce of 4,000. Recognized as one of India’s top NGOs to work for, we employ innovative, cost-effective, and integrated developmental methodologies to empower children from ages 10 to 28.

Role Description

This is an on-site, UNPAID volunteer role in Chandigarh for the 2025-2026 period. As a Volunteer, you will engage in tasks such as mentoring children, organizing educational and recreational activities, providing emotional support, and collaborating with shelter staff to ensure children’s well-being. You will also contribute to creating tailored developmental programs for children and support community mobilization efforts.

Qualifications

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on mentoring and emotional support

Passion for community development and child welfare

Ability to commit to volunteering on-site for 3–4 hours per week

Previous experience in the non-profit sector or working with children is a plus
