A Maintenance Support professional, orMaintenance Assistant,ensures facilities, machinery, and grounds operate safely and efficiently by performing repairs, preventative maintenance, and cleaning tasks. Key duties include fixing plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, conducting inspections, and maintaining tools to support senior technicians.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance Repairs: Perform basic repairs, including patching walls, painting, repairing doors, and fixing plumbing fixtures (leaking faucets, clogged drains).
Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine checks on machinery and building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) to prevent failures.
Facility Upkeep: Maintain grounds by removing debris, clearing trash, and assisting with landscaping.
Tool Operation: Safely operate hand and power tools, such as drills, saws, and wrenches.
Documentation Reporting: Log maintenance activities, report issues to management, and monitor inventory for repairs.
