We're Hiring | Maintenance Planner & Maintenance Scheduler | Tech Lead | Pune
We are looking for experienced professionals to join team of one the reputed client in Pune — a Maintenance Planner and a Maintenance Scheduler, both at Tech Lead level.
If you have spent years in a process plant, refinery, or chemical manufacturing facility and you know what good maintenance planning and scheduling looks like on the ground — we want to talk to you.
Experience - 7-10 yrs
Education : B.tech Mechanical (full time)
Maintenance Planner
You will be responsible for planning maintenance jobs before they go to the floor. That means writing clear job plans, figuring out what materials and tools are needed, estimating how long the job will take, and making sure nothing is missing when the technician shows up.
Beyond day-to-day planning, you will also:
- Review equipment history and help identify why things keep failing
- Work with procurement and stores to make sure spare parts are available when needed
- Keep maintenance records, equipment data, and job procedures up to date in the system
- Look at the existing preventive maintenance schedule and question whether it actually makes sense
- Support shutdown and turnaround planning when required
Maintenance Scheduler
You will be responsible for building the weekly maintenance schedule and making sure it is realistic and achievable. That means checking that people are available, materials are in the store, and operations has given clearance before a job goes on the board.
Beyond scheduling, you will also:
- Run the weekly scheduling meeting and keep everyone aligned
- Track which jobs are overdue and follow up to get them closed
- Monitor whether the schedule is actually being followed and report on it
- Work with procurement when parts are needed urgently
- Keep an eye on the backlog and flag anything that is ageing too long without action
What We Are Looking For
Both roles require:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 7 to 10 years of experience in a process plant, refinery, or chemical manufacturing environment
- Good working knowledge of a maintenance system such as SAP PM or IBM Maximo
- A solid understanding of how spare parts and materials are managed in a plant environment
- The ability to work with operations, stores, and engineering without needing to be chased
For the Planner role, we need someone who is detail-oriented and can think through a job from start to finish before it begins.
For the Scheduler role, we need someone who is organised, follows through, and is not afraid to push back when a job is not ready to go on the schedule.
IMPORTANT : We are specifically looking for people who have worked in process-driven environments — refineries, petrochemical plants, chemical manufacturing facilities, or large EPC projects. If you have built your career at companies like Essar Oil, Reliance, Dow Chemicals, KBR, or similar, your experience will translate directly into these roles.
