Role Description The Maintenance Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Coimbatore. This role is responsible for overseeing daily maintenance activities, including planning, assigning, and monitoring maintenance and repair tasks for equipment, facilities, and related systems. The Maintenance Manager will implement preventive maintenance schedules, coordinate with vendors and service providers, ensure compliance with safety standards, and maintain accurate maintenance records and reports. The role involves supervising maintenance staff, optimizing resource utilization, managing spare parts inventory, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and enhance operational reliability.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong maintenance management and supervisory skills to lead the maintenance team and oversee daily operations.
- Candidates should possess equipment maintenance and maintenance & repair skills to handle troubleshooting, repairs, and upkeep of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Candidates should possess preventive maintenance skills to design, implement, and monitor maintenance schedules that minimize breakdowns and extend equipment life.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of safety standards, compliance requirements, and best practices in industrial maintenance.
- Relevant technical diploma or degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering (or equivalent) is preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, with ability to read technical manuals, maintenance reports, and equipment documentation.
- Strong problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills, with proficiency in using maintenance management software or CMMS.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams, vendors, and leadership.
