Position Overview:

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and controlling maintenance operations, technical projects, and energy management systems across the factory. The role ensures high equipment reliability, optimal energy utilization, preventive maintenance implementation, safety compliance, and efficient asset management supporting uninterrupted production.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

• Plan and design factory layouts for new machinery installation and infrastructure projects.
• Present minimum three layout options for management approval based on technical feasibility.
• Prepare material planning including machines, electrical panels, utilities, and infrastructure.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and internal departments during project execution.
• Ensure project completion within timeline and budget.

Preventive Maintenance Management

• Develop preventive maintenance schedules for all machines and utilities.
• Ensure daily, weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance plans are followed.
• Conduct inspection, lubrication, and replacement of critical parts.
• Maintain maintenance records in Maintenance Management System (MMS).
• Ensure availability of critical spare parts.

Breakdown Maintenance

• Provide technical support during machine breakdowns.
• Identify root causes of failures and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure minimum machine downtime and quick restoration.

Energy Management

• Monitor electricity consumption and compare with production output.
• Ensure electrical load remains within approved capacity.
• Monitor solar power generation and maintain solar systems.
• Track diesel consumption in generators.
• Monitor water usage and prevent wastage.

Safety Management

• Ensure machine safety guards and interlocks are in place.
• Verify electrical safety including earthing and panel protection.
• Conduct periodic safety inspections.
• Support EHS team in safety audits and accident prevention.

Budget & Cost Control

• Prepare annual maintenance and project budgets.
• Compare minimum three vendors before procurement.
• Negotiate pricing, warranty, and service support.
• Monitor maintenance expenditure versus approved budget.

Asset & Scrap Management

• Maintain asset records of machinery and utilities.
• Review monthly scrap reports with Factory Managers.
• Identify machines reaching end-of-life condition.
• Coordinate scrap or resale through approved vendors.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics / Industrial Engineering.
• 8–12 years of experience in maintenance and project management (preferably in garments or manufacturing).
• Knowledge in energy systems, Lean, ISO, ZED, TPM, and ERP software.
• Strong analytical, planning, and team leadership skills.
