Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations at our Tarapur manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring maximum equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, managing preventive and predictive maintenance programs, and supporting uninterrupted plant operations. This leadership role requires strong technical expertise in chemical process plants, excellent people management skills, and a commitment to operational excellence.

Key ResponsibilitiesPlant Maintenance- Lead all mechanical, electrical, and utility maintenance activities across the manufacturing facility.
- Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime.
- Ensure optimum performance of production machinery, utilities, and plant infrastructure.
Equipment Reliability- Monitor equipment performance and implement reliability improvement initiatives.
- Analyze recurring equipment failures and implement root cause corrective actions.
- Maintain critical spare parts inventory to minimize production interruptions.
Utilities & Engineering Services- Oversee maintenance of boilers, chillers, compressors, cooling towers, pumps, reactors, pipelines, and other process equipment.
- Ensure uninterrupted operation of utility systems supporting manufacturing processes.
- Coordinate annual shutdowns, major overhauls, and capital maintenance projects.
Safety & Compliance- Ensure maintenance activities comply with EHS standards, statutory regulations, and company safety policies.
- Support safety audits, risk assessments, and permit-to-work systems.
- Maintain compliance with ISO standards and engineering documentation requirements.
Cross-Functional Coordination- Work closely with Production, Quality, Purchase, and EHS teams to support efficient plant operations.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers for maintenance activities and equipment installations.
- Prepare maintenance reports, KPIs, budgets, and performance dashboards for management review.
Leadership & Continuous Improvement- Lead, mentor, and develop the maintenance team to build technical capability and operational excellence.
- Drive TPM, continuous improvement, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Recommend modernization and automation projects to improve plant efficiency and reliability.

Requirement
Education
B.E. in Chemical Engineering (Minimum Qualification)
Experience
Minimum 15 years in Plant Maintenance within Chemical or Process Manufacturing industries
Industry
Experience in Specialty Chemicals, Polymers, Synthetic Resins, Paints, Coatings, or related process industries preferred
Core Knowledge
Preventive & Predictive Maintenance, Equipment Reliability, Utilities Management, Mechanical Systems, Process Equipment, TPM, EHS Compliance
Leadership
Proven experience leading maintenance teams and managing plant engineering functions
Location
Candidates residing in Western Suburbs of Mumbai preferred
Languages
Proficient in English and Hindi / Marathi
Skills
Strong technical troubleshooting, leadership, planning, vendor management, project management, ERP proficiency, and analytical problem-solving abilities
