Designation: Maintenance Manager/ Deputy Manager
Experience: min 17 yrs
Location: Chennai
Qualification: Diploma/ B.E - Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee all mechanical and electrical maintenance activities across the plant
Ensure preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance is carried out effectively
Handle maintenance of machines such as:
Laser cutting machines
CNC bending machines
Welding equipment
Shot blasting machines
Heavy fabrication machinery
Plan and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime
Lead, guide, and develop the maintenance team for efficient performance
Ensure availability of critical spares and manage inventory control
Analyze equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions
Coordinate with production teams to ensure smooth operations
Drive continuous improvement initiatives like TPM, 5S, and Kaizen
Ensure compliance with safety standards and statutory regulations
Monitor maintenance costs and optimize expenses
Required Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
Experience in heavy fabrication and manufacturing setup
Hands-on experience with CNC/laser machines and fabrication equipment
Good leadership and team management skills
Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis ability
Knowledge of TPM, Lean Manufacturing, and maintenance best practices
Familiarity with safety standards and audits
Qualification:
B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Additional certifications in maintenance/TPM/automation will be an added advantage
Preferred Candidate Profile:
Minimum 17+ years of experience in maintenance within fabrication/heavy fabrication industry
