Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Maintenance Executive role based in Thanjavur. The Maintenance Executive will oversee routine and preventive maintenance of manufacturing equipment used to produce coco coir-based growing media and hydroponic substrates. Daily responsibilities include inspecting machinery, scheduling and performing repairs, coordinating with production teams to minimize downtime, and maintaining detailed maintenance logs. The role also involves monitoring spare parts inventory, implementing safety and compliance procedures, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in equipment reliability and plant operations. The Maintenance Executive will collaborate closely with supervisors and technicians to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient facility operations.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and basic mechanical and electrical repair for industrial or manufacturing machinery.
- Experience with preventive maintenance planning, documentation, and use of maintenance tools or software.
- Knowledge of safety standards, workplace health and safety practices, and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, equipment drawings, and maintenance instructions.
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate with production, quality, and management staff.
- Attention to detail, time management, and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience in a production or horticulture-related facility is an advantage.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
