Role Description The Maintenance Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of production equipment through regular inspection, troubleshooting, and repair. Day-to-day tasks include planning and executing preventive maintenance schedules, attending to breakdowns, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and coordinating with production teams to minimize downtime. The Maintenance Engineer will maintain maintenance records, support installation and commissioning of new equipment, and adhere to safety and quality standards. The role may also involve collaborating with external vendors and suggesting improvements to enhance equipment performance and plant efficiency.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance Engineering, with experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Hands-on expertise in Maintenance & Repair activities, including troubleshooting mechanical issues and performing corrective actions.
- Proficiency in Preventive Maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution to reduce equipment failures and downtime.
- Practical knowledge of Electrical Maintenance, including basic diagnostics, safety practices, and coordination with electrical specialists.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
- Ability to read technical drawings, equipment manuals, and maintenance documentation.
- Familiarity with safety regulations, 5S practices, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams on-site in Ahmedabad.
