Role Description
The Mainframe System Programmer position is a full-time, on-site role located in the Greater Chennai Area. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, installing, configuring, and scripting mainframe systems. Your daily activities will include supporting operating systems, overseeing system performance and optimization, working with CICS environments, and ensuring system security. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless mainframe operations will also be a key component of your responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Systems Programming and Mainframe-related tasks
- In-depth knowledge of Operating Systems and their architecture
- Experience with Programming languages relevant to mainframe environments
- Hands-on expertise with CICS and associated applications
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site setting
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Experience in enterprise-level IT infrastructure management is a plus
