You are part of the IP Connect Domestic squad, a collaborative and skilled team working on Mainframe applications supporting domestic market payment flows across BNP Paribas Group.
As a Mainframe Functional Analyst / Developer, you will work as an all-round profile, combining functional analysis with hands-on development and testing activities.
As a Mainframe Functional Analyst / Developer, you have the following responsibilities:
- You perform functional analysis and translate business requirements into solutions
- You contribute to development (COBOL), testing, and validation activities
- You support issue analysis and resolution in production
- You collaborate actively with squad members in an Agile setup
- You ensure a clear understanding of requirements and provide structured and pragmatic solutions
- You contribute to team knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
You work in an offshore setup, collaborating with teams across locations.
Your strengths
- You have a bachelor or master’s degree in IT and at least 5 years of Mainframe experience
- You are fluent in English
- You have a strong Mainframe background (COBOL, JCL, DB2, IMS)
- You have a strong functional mindset with the ability to analyse requirements
- You are still actively involved in development (hands-on profile)
- You have experience in the banking domain; knowledge of payments is an advantage
- Knowledge of SWIFT MT / MX messages (and other payment file types) is a strong plus
- You have good communication and collaboration skills
- You are a team player and integrate well within an Agile squad
- You are assertive, structured, and pragmatic in your approach
